In her high school career, she became a Two-time Minnesota state champion and in total three-time Minnesota state champion. She was Captain of the diving, gymnastics, and track and field teams in her high school and became a 19-time letter winner in swimming and diving, gymnastics, track and field, and basketball. This was the year she won several competitions i.e.-(1) 1st place in 1 meter with 285.53; 1st in 3 meters at 275.85 against Incarnate Word, (2)1st place in 1 meter at 279.53; 1st in 3 meters with 301.58 against New Mexico State, (3) 1st place in Platform at 209.85 at Houston to break the program record for the event, (4) 3rd place in 1 meter at 276.98; 5th in 3 meters with 263.55 at TCU and most importantly, (5) 3rd in 3 meter A-Final at 322.15; 1st place in 1 meter B-Final with 282.60; 4th in Platform A-Final with 224.70 at Conference USA Championship.

As a footballer, In 1991, he made the record in an invitation to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NINA) with 126 receptions for 1,515 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns and had one kickoff return for a score. He finished the year with 134 points, which ranks second in school history.
